RUSSIA
Angola and Russia have a long history of cooperative relations that take us back to Angola's independence struggles. More recently, both countries have tried maintained such cooperative tradition. In 2013, for instance, were initiated actions towards enhancing bilateral cooperation in diverse sectors, from health to economy. In 2014, these actions culminated in a memorandum that established a regular dialog about political and diplomatic matters, aiming to consolidate the cooperation ties between the two countries.
INVESTMENTS
Russia's investments in Angola gain more prominence in the diamonds sectors. The Russian enterprise Alrosa is part of the consortium that forms Catoca Mining Society, which is responsible for about 75% of diamonds exploration in the country.
